The captions say that the nurses are receiving the "Médaille Militaire" for their courage when the Germans bombed their hospitals.The ceremonies open with a procession of women and girls in Welsh national costume. The Chief Druid mounts a slab of stone to deliver the address. Lloyd George talks with the Mayor of Neath and inspects a parade of soldiers. The watching crowd cheers Lloyd George. He shakes hands with three soldiers in hospital blues (note the press photographers at work).
